How do I change my user name?
Step 1 – To change user name please log into www.hobeze.com. From here one will be taken to their profile page.

Step 2 – Click on the tab “My Account”.

Step 3 – Click on the link “Change Username”

How do I change or add an email address?
Step 1 – To change or add an email address please log into www.hobeze.com. From here one will be taken to their profile page.

Step 2 – Click on the tab “My Account”.

How do I change my password?
Step 1 – To change your password please log into www.hobeze.com. From here one will be taken to their profile page.

Step 2 – Click on the tab “My Account”.

How do I change my club or organisation?
Note – You may have a different club / organisation for each individual hobby.
Step 1 – To change your Club/Organisation please log into www.hobeze.com. From here one will be taken to their profile page.

How do I turn my email notifications On OR Off?

Simply click on the tab “My Account” from here you can switch notifications on and off.

How do I make my profile Public / Private?
Note – Public or Private Changes will only be made to the profile you have selected.
Step 1 – Log into your specific profile you wish to change.

Step 2 - Click on the link “Make profile public” (this will make your profile public) this link can be found under your profile photo.

How do I delete My Account?
Step 1 – To delete your account and any information stored by “Hobeze.com” please log into www.hobeze.com. From here one will be taken to their profile page.

Step 2 – Click on the tab “My Account”.

Step 3 – Click on the link “Delete my Account”

My Profile

How do I switch off my applications? (E.g. Comments, Pictures)
If any of your applications do not apply to your profile type, you can simply turn them off by clicking on the specific icons situated to the left of your hobby photo.

Icons with a dark shade mean that the Application is on.

Icons with a light or faded shade mean that the Application is off.

How do I make my applications private / Public or Viewable by friends only?
Note – On Hobeze a member can make each “individual” application Public, Private or Viewable by friends only.

Each application has three traffic light colours on the top left hand side of the application box, “RED, GREEN AND YELLOW”

Step 1 – In order to make your application private, simply click on the “RED” traffic light signal situated on the top left hand side of the application box.

Step 2 – In order to make your application Public, simply click on the “GREEN” traffic light signal situated on the top left hand side of the application box.

Step 3 – In order to make your application Viewable by friends only, simply click on the “Yellow” traffic light signal situated on the top left hand side of the application box.

Friends

How do I invite friends?
There are two means to invite friends onto the Hobeze website.

Method 1 – Within the registration process you as a member will be given the opportunity to send an invite to your friends within your email address list.

Method 2

Step 1 – Log into your profile within the Hobeze.com website.

Step 2 – Click on the Friends tab, or on the “View all Friends” link.

Step 3 – Click on the “Invite” tab.

Step 4 – Enter your email address and password and feel free to invite as many hobby enthusiasts as you wish.

How do I delete friends?
Step 1 – As a member you must first be logged into your profile page.

Step 2 – Select the Hobby Profile you wish to delete friends from.

Step 3 – Click on the “View all Friends” link or the Friends tab.

Step 4 – Click on the tab “View Friends”.

Step 5 – Click on the “X” situated on the top right corner of your friends profile box.

How do I add hobby friends?
Within the Hobeze.com social network there are two means to add hobby related friends.

Method 1

Step 1 – Log into the Hobeze.com website and select the profile you wish to add friends to.

Step 2 – Click on the “View all Friends” link or “Friends” tab.

Step 3 – Click on the “Add Hobby Friends” link.

Step 4 – If you would like to view all members related to your particular hobby leave the text field blank and click search. From here you can simply view member’s profiles and add them to your friends list. To view specific friends simply type their profile name in and click search.

Method 2

Step 1 - Log into the Hobeze.com website and select the profile you wish to add friends to.

Step 2 – Search for hobby related members, whom have the same hobby you wish to add friends to.

Step 3 – View their profile from the search results.

Step 4 – If you wish to add them as a friend you can simply click on the link “Add Friend” underneath their profile photo.

How do I accept friend requests?

Once a friend had sent you a request, you will be sent an email notification, (if your notification is switched on).

Step 1 – log into your profile.

Step 2 – You will find that in your “My other Hobby” application you will see a friend request icon.

Step 3 – Simply click on the Hobby Profile the icon is flashing against.

Step 4 – You will now be directed to another one of your hobby profiles, on the top of the page right under your profile picture you will see a link called “Friend request box”.

Step 5 – Simply click on this link, view the members profile and accept if you wish to do so.

What friends can I add to my profile?
Hobeze.com is a social network categorised by hobbies. When a user becomes a member of the site, they select a specific hobby profile, for example, Kite surfing.

As a member of the kite surfing profile network you may only add friends who are also members of kite surfing only.

You may only invite friends who have the same hobby profile as yourself.

However you can invite any friend you want into the chit chat application and contact them from there.

Personal Details

How do I edit my personal details?

Step 1 – Simply log into the Hobeze.com social networking site.

Step 2 – Once within your profile, click on the “Personal” tab.

Step 3 – From here you can edit your personal details by clicking on the “Edit” tab.

Are my personal details available to the public?
No your “Personal” tab is not available to the public. It is only private to you yourself.

My Hobbies

What does “my other hobbies” enable me to do?

“My other hobbies”, enables you as a member to select and become a member of any particular hobby you wish. All the hobby networks you become a member of will be displayed within the, “My other Hobbies” application box.

How do I add a hobby?
Step 1 – To add a hobby simply log into the Hobeze.com social networking site.

Step 2 – Click on the “Manage Hobbies” link, from the Manage hobby application.

Step 3 – Click on the “Add Hobby” tab and from here you can add another profile hobby.

How do I delete a hobby?

Step 1 – Simply log into your profile on the Hobeze.com site.

Step 2 – Click on the link “Manage Hobbies”

Step 3 – Click on the tab “View Hobbies”.

Step 4 – Determine which hobby you wish to delete and click on the “X” located on the top right corner of the hobby profile image.

How do I select my default hobby?

Step 1 – Log into your profile.

Step 2 – Click on the “Manage Hobbies” link, within your hobby application box.
Step 3 – Click on the tab, view all hobbies.

Step 4 – Every hobby you have become a member of has a link “Set as default”, this is located underneath the hobby picture.

How do I search for hobbies?
There are many means within the Hobeze site to search for hobbies.

Method 1 (Logged out Member & Registered Members)

Step 1 – View the Hobeze homepage www.hobeze.com

Step 2 – On the top of the page you will find, an alphabetical search function.

Step 3 – I you wish to look for “Kickboxing”, select “K” from the alphabetical search.

Step 4 – This search will display all hobbies starting in “K”, Select “Kickboxing” from this list.

Step 5 – From the results page you will be able to define your search by country, city, age, gender, and sex.

Method 2 (Logged out Member & Registered Members)

Step 1 – From the home page one can find a search function called search by hobby.

Step 2 – Entre the hobby you are looking for and click search, you will then be brought to the results page.

Method 3 (Logged out Member & Registered Members)

Step 1 – From the home page select the link “View all Hobbies”, this will take you to the hobby database where you can select a hobby from there.

Method 4 (Logged in Members)

Step 1 – From your profile page, the best method would be to click on the link “Search Hobbies”.

Step 2 – From the search field type the hobby you are looking for, from here the search results will show.

Step 3 – If you are happy with your hobby results, you can run a sort by search.

Method 5 (Logged in Members)

Step 1 – From your profile page, click on the link “Manage Hobbies” within your manage hobbies application box.
Step 2 – Click on the tab, “View all hobby Members”, this will bring you to the search hobby page.

Photos

How do I create an album?

Simply click on the Photo application, and click on the link “View All Albums”.

Form here you will see a tab called “Create a new album”

How do I upload a photo?

Within the “View all Albums” link, you can create a new album and upload photos from there.

Click on the “View all Albums” link, from here you can then click on the tab “Upload Photo”. From here you can simply click on your desired album.

How do I delete a photo?

To delete a photo one can simply click on a desired “album” from the photo application box. From here select the photo you wish to delete, and click on the “delete” tab.

Click on the “View all Albums” link within the photo application box, select an “Album”. This will present the photos within the album. From here one can click on the “X” within the photo they wish to delete.

How do I delete an album?

Step1 – Click on the link “View all Albums”.

Step2 - Decide which album you wish to delete and click on the delete button.

How many photos can I upload?

Uploading photos on the Hobeze network are unlimited.

My photo will not upload?

The Hobeze network currently has a maximum upload of 2mb per picture. If your photo does not upload, your photo may be over the 2mb limit. Please re-size your photo.

The Hobeze servers may have many members uploading, so just give it time and try again.

Comments

Why am I unable to send comments to some friends?

Within the Hobeze Social Network, in order to keep the information on the profiles content rich, you may only send comments to hobby members with the same hobby.

Within the “Chit Chat” section you may, add and chat to all members.

How do I delete a comment?

In order to delete a comment, please click on the link “View All” from here one can delete comments.

Simply within the comment application box you can delete desired text messages by clicking on the delete link.

Videos

How do I upload a video?

Step1 – Click on the link “View All Videos”.

Step2 – Click on the tab, “Upload Video”.

Step3 – Add a title to your video.

Step4 – Go to “you tube” and copy the “Embed” video link you wish to upload, should look something like this.

How do I delete a video?

Within the “Video” application box click on the “All Videos” link.

From here you can click on the “X” within each video, this will delete the specific video.

How do I select my favourite videos?

Automatically the first 4 videos will be displayed within the video application box.

If you have more than 4 videos you can simply drag and drop, to your top four positions.

Charts

How do I get my Profile into the CHARTS

If one is interested in music, you can promote your link to your audience. This will in turn increase your profile hits and rocket your profile into the top 20 hobbies or even into the top 3, featured on the home page.

Search Hobbies

How can I search for a hobby
As you know there are hundreds of profiles within the hobby network. There are many ways to search for hobbies.

Step1 – Simply click on the alphabetical “Orange” link on the home page and select a desired hobby.

Step2 – When you become a member you can click on the “Search Hobbies” tab and type in the hobby of interest. From here you can run a sort by search to display members from all over the world.

Step3 – Simply click on the “View all hobbies” link on the home page, this will enable you to view every hobby in the database.

How can I create a new hobby that is not on the Hobby Network?

Submit a New Hobby
On the home page you will find a link to submit a new hobby. This will enable you to submit a hobby name and headings. From here the hobby will be viewed by the admin team and inform you of its launch.

How do I add a Topic?

Simply click on the link “Create Topic”, create a topic heading and input your comment.

How do I post a comment?

In order to post a comment, simply click on the link, “Post Comment” and then select the heading you have created. This will submit your comment into your desired heading location.

How can I delete a comment?

Select the comment you wish to delete, and click on the delete link.

How can I make a topic Private?
Simply choose the topic you wish to make private, and click on the traffic light signals (The red one) to make topic private to your only.

Calendar

Can I make my calendar private?
Yes simply click on the red traffic light within your calendar application.

How do I sync my calendar with all friends?
Simply click on the link “Sync with all friends” within the calendar application box.

How do I sync my Calendar with some friends?
Simply click on the link “Sync with friends”. This will enable you to select friends you with.

How can I read calendar comments?
In order to read calendar comments you need to click on the calendar highlighted number, this is where you or another hobby member have already submitted a hobby comment.

How can I post calendar comments?

To submit a calendar comment for an up-coming event one must click on the specific date. This will enable you to write in a comment for that date.

How can I delete calendar comments?

Select the calendar comment you wish to delete and click on the “Delete” link.
